南阳防爆集团有限公司是以大型一档企业南阳防爆电机厂为核心组建的国有独资公司。总资产4.1亿元。现有员工3600人，专业技术人员833人，其中国家级科技专家4人，部级科技专家4人，高中级职称383人。现有产品156个系列、864个品种、174449个规格，能够生产单机容量0.01千瓦一10000千瓦的高低压大中小型防爆电机、非防爆电机及各类防爆电器、监控仪表产品。我国最大的防爆电机科研、生产基地和国家机电产品出口基地。
自1973年研制度功我国第一台高压中型防爆电机以来，到近期研制成功达到国际先进水平、国内容量最大的4000千瓦20极增安型无刷励磁同步电机，南防为我国防爆电机填补了多项空白。公司主导产品曾获全国科学大会奖、国家经委“金龙奖”、国家唯一的国优银牌奖和河南省“兴豫杯”奖。公司生产的隔爆型三相异步电动机被河南省技术监督局命名为质量监督免检产品。近年来，企业每年有400多项新产品投放市场，YB355-710系列隔爆型三相异步电动机、YAKK、YAKS355-1000系列增安型三相异步电动机、TAKW系列增安型无刷励磁同步电机达到国际先进水平。大型防爆电机被中国石化总公司确定为替代进口产品。具有国际领先水平的尼玛和IEC高效电机出口美国和澳洲市场。企业被机械部认定为“技术进步试点企业”，被河南省政府命名为“科技企业”和“高新技术企业”。
南阳防爆公司与世界著名的美国GE公司和澳大利亚蓬勃电机公司建立了稳固的贸易关系。先后取得IS09001质量体系认证、ISO9002计量检测体系认证和美国“UL”认证、进入美国电机市场的“EPACT”认证、加拿大“CSA”认证，欧共体“CE”标志，防爆电机先后取得德国“PTB”、挪威“NEMKO”和澳大利亚防爆安全认证。产品出口欧美、澳大利亚和东南亚等20多个国家和地区。
近年来，南阳防爆集团有限公司依靠科技进步，调整产品结构，开拓国内外市场，主要经济指标连续六年保持两位数增长，居同行业前列。

Nanyang Explosion Protection Group Co. Ltd, a state-owned enterprise composed of Nanyang Explosion Proof Motor Plant, Nanyang Electric Motor Works, Nanyang Valve Motor Factory and Nanyang Kangyuan Machinery Plant, Has 3 branches and 13 subsidiaries with total assets RMB 410 million Yuan (fixed assets RMB 187 million Yuan) and 4480 staff members. Its products mainly include all kinds of motors, electric appliances, control instruments, blowers, pumps, artificial board machines, aluminum products, toolings and moulds.
Nanyang Explosion Proof Motor Plant (original), the key enterprise of the Company, built in 1970, which developed the first high-voltage medium-sized explosion-proof motor in our country in 1973, has occupied the leading position in product varieties, specifications, quality and comprehensive economic profits among the same trade in China. Our products have gained many prizes at the State, Ministerial and Provincial levels. The leading products solely won the prize at the State's level among the same domestic trades.
"Quality first, Customers highest" is our company's principal aim, we are the first one to carry out the quality guarantee for medium and large sized motor in China. The Company wasISO9001 certified in 1996 and re-certified in 1999 by CCMQS and by China Import And Export Commodity Inspection Bureau.
Relying on scientific and technical improvement, we concentrate our efforts on adjusting the product structure and successfully developed a batch of high-tech products, such as YAKS900 1000kW-18P increased-safety three phase induction motor, YL 630KW-18P 10000V vertical motor, TAKW series 3600kW-20P, 3400kW-20P, 4000kW-20P increased-safety brushless excited synchronous motors, which reached international advanced level. In 1989-1992, we introduced series 1MJ5 and 1MJ7 flameproof high voltage motors designing and manufacturing technology from Siemens Nuremburg plant by "know-how" licenses. We digested the technology and manufacture the products in batches and gained PTB explosion-proof certificate, which is the first certificate issued by PTB Germany to Chinese manufacturers.
In 1996, the Company was licensed to export and import directly to and from foreign countries. At present we have established good relationship with GE (USA), PERRY ENGINEERING (Australia), CMG (Australia), BRUSH (England) and other famous companies in the world. The export products have obtained several international certificates such as UL, CSA, CE, NEMKO and PTB.
