公司成立于1953年1月，原名纺织工业部建筑安装工程公司，系国家一级资质、国家总承包二级资质等级的大型建筑安装综合施工企业。具有土建、机电设备安装、自动化系统控制、商品混凝土供应、预制构件加工、机械化施工、汽车货运、装饰装潢、中央空调设备制造安装、建筑机械租赁、房地产开发、工程咨询、工程设计等综合性经营业务。能承担各类现代化大型工厂、高级民用建筑，如宾馆，酒店、院校、医院、体育场馆、影剧院、高等级公路、立交桥等工程的施工，尤其擅长大型工业厂房、高级建筑、大踏度工程的施工。公司具有年完成6亿元以上建安工作量的施工能力。
公司现有员工8000余人，拥有各类专业人才1458人，其中高、中级工程技术人员622人，财经类高、中级管理人员386人，有资质的项目经理88人，公司拥有资产总额2．5亿元，其中固定资产原值8305．77万元；各类大、中型机械1000余台（套），设备总功率53598千瓦。
公司下属九个土建分公司以及机电设备安装公司、郑州纺织空调设备厂、中日合资中大空调设备公司、物资设备公司、郑州德诚实业有限责任公司、10万m3混凝土供应中心、房屋建设开发公司、上海分公司、海南分公司、珠海分公司等单位。
公司成立四十多年来，曾先后在河南、湖北、上海、天津、广东、海南、福建、新疆等省区近百个城市，共建成大、中型工厂一百余座和一大批民用建筑工程，累计完成竣工面积1500余万平方米、并曾参加亚、非、欧地区十三个国家的经济建设。
公司重视科学管理，注重质量，信守合同，讲求信誉，多年来建成多项国家、省、市优良工程，是河南省唯一荣获三项国家优质工程银质奖的企业。公司近年来承建了大批国家、省、市重点工程，如平顶山帘子布厂、安阳彩电玻壳厂、郑州中原制药厂、郑州花园商厦、河南国际饭店、郑州河医广场立交桥、中原国际博览中心、新郑机场、河南博物院、郑州大酒店、郑州火车站地下广场等。公司连续入选“全国500家最大建筑企业，”和“500家最佳经济效益建筑企业”、“河南省施工企业50强”，并先后被授予“河南省重合同守信用企业”、“河南省资信等级AAA企业”等荣誉称号，91年被建设部评为主国先进施工企业，92年被评力河南省重点工程建设”十佳”企业之一，93年被评为河南省精神文明先进单位，94年被中国建筑学会评为推广应用管理科学先进单位，96、97年连续被郑州市评为“重点建设先进单位”，97年被评为“河南省先进施工企业”，荣获郑州市“五一”劳动奖状。

Established in 1953, Henan Provincial No. 5 Constructional Engineering Co., Ltd. is a large multiple-construction enterprise of national first-grade qualification and national second-grade qualification for an overal contract. It is engaged in an all-around development business such as building projects, installation of electromechanical equipment, automatic system control, supply of commercial ready-mixed concrete, prefabricating component processing, machanized construction, automobile freight, decoration & mounting, manufacture & installation of central-controlled air-conditioning equipment, building machinery lease, real estate exploitation, project consultation and design, etc.. It can undertake many kinds of construction projects as modern large-scale factory, high-class civil architecture, high-quality highway, overpass and so on, and especially is skilled in the construction of large-scale industrial factory, high-grade buildings and longspan structure. It has an annual construction capability of over 600 million yuan workload accomplishment with more than 8,000 workers and staff, including 1,458 various professionals, among which there are 622 high-and- middle-level engineers and technicians, 386 high-and-middle-level managers on finance and economics and 88 senior project managers. With a total assets of 250 million yuan including a capital assets of 83,057,700 yuan, there are over 1000 various units or sets of large-and-middle-scale machineries with a total power of 53,598 kilowatts.
It has 9 building projects branch companies and the Electromechanical Equipment Installation Company, Zhengzhou Textile Air-conditioning Equipment Plant, Zhongda Air-conditioning Equipment Company of Sino-Japanese Joint Venture Company, Material Equipment Company, Zhengzhou Decheng Industrial Co., Ltd., the Supplying Centre of 100,000 Cubic Meters Concrete, the Tenement Construction & Exploitation Company, Shanghai Branch Company, Hainan Brach Company, Zhuhai Branch Company, etc..
In the past 40 years, it has successively built over 100 large-and-midium-scale plants and a large quantities of civil construction projects in nearly 100 cities all over China with an accumulative accomplishment of more than 1.5 million square meters of floor space completed, and even took part in the economic constructions in 13 countries in Asia, Africa and Europe. It has continuously been chosen as one of the National 500 Largest Construction Enterprises, one of the 500 Construction Enterprises with Best Economic Benefits and one of the 50 Powerful Contruction Enterprises of Henan Province. It was judged a National Advanced Construction Enterprise by the Ministry of Construction in 1991, and was elected an Advanced Unit of Spreading and Applying Management Science by China Construction Association in 1994.
