棕刚玉是以铝钒土、焦碳（无烟煤）为主要原料，在电弧炉内经高温冶炼而成，主要化学成分为Al2O3TiO2还含有少量的SiO2和Fe2o3等，显微硬度Hv18000一22000，韧性比SiC高，用它制成的磨具，适于磨削抗张强度较高的金属，如各种通用钢材、各锻铸铁、硬青铜等。也可制造高级耐火材料。
Brown aluminium oxide abra-Sive is electrically fusedin an arc-furnace from a mixture of bauxite, coke
(anthracite)as main raw ma-terials at high temperature. Its chemical
composition contains Al2o3, TiO2, a small amount of SiO2,and Fe2o3, etc., micro-hardness: 18000-22000MPa,
tou-ghess: higher than silicon carbide. Abrasive articles madeof it are suited for grinding metals of high-tensile strength
such as steel, annealed malleable iron and hard high-classrefractory products.

亚白刚玉是我公司开发的高品质刚王产品，由于化学成分和物理性能均与白刚玉接近，故称之亚白刚玉，该产品具有白刚玉的硬度，同时兼有棕刚玉的韧性，是较为理想的高级耐火材料，体积密度≥3.8g/cm3，耐火度大于1850℃。用于滑动水口，枪嘴及大型高炉
（＞2000m3）的铁沟料和高钢砖制造。
