郑煤机集团的前身是郑州煤矿机械厂，于2002年11月改制为国有独资公司，始建于1958年，占地67万平方米，总资产6.8亿，资产负债率为55.24%.现有员工3300人，专业技术人员845人，具有高级职称148人，6人享受政府特殊津贴。
    郑煤机集团是国内集科研开发、设计制造于一体的煤炭综采支护设备——液压支架专业生产企业之一。我国第一台液压支架即在郑煤机集团诞生。几十年来，郑煤机集团先后承担了国家多项综采支护装备重点项目的研制开发，其中放顶煤支架实现了我国煤炭综采工艺的重大突破。目前研制生产的兖州ZFY6800两柱掩护式放顶煤支架，引领了国际支护设备新技术的发展方向；晋城ZY4400型配刨煤机薄煤层液压支架，填补一项国内空白；国家“十五重点科技攻关项目”晋城ZY8640型掩护式大采高支架，为国产支架替代进口产品；ZFQ3600型大倾角工作面放顶煤支架，倾角达45º,局部可达52º；平顶山ZY6400两柱大采高支架堪称国产“两柱王”。这些产品均代表着目前国内乃至国际液压支架最高水平。不断推出的支架新品，成为郑煤机集团有效占领市场，提升企业形象，提高核心竞争力的有力武器。现在，全国使用我公司配套液压支架创百万吨以上原煤产量的采煤队有近70队（次），占全国该等级综采队的55%以上。郑煤机集团己累计生产了支护强度1600-1000OKN，支护高度0.55-5.5m的各类液压支架4万余架，产品遍布全国各大煤炭企业，先后出口到印度、土尔其、俄罗斯等国。

    近几年来，郑煤机集团始终瞄准国际先进水平，不断创新经营，取得丰硕成果。2000年销售额仅为1.25亿，2001年增长为2.29亿，2002年进一步增长为3.49亿，三年迈了三大步，实现利润1712万元。2003年上半年已实现销售额2.2亿，预计全年达5亿，继续保持快速增长的势头，始终占领国内液压支架行业领头羊地位。
    几年来，郑煤机集团先后获得了河南省煤炭系统改革、创新先进企业，科技进步先进企业等荣誉称号。位居2002年度中国机械工业500强第187位。

    In recent years Zhengzhou Mining Machinery Group Limited Company aimed international advanced level, innovate operation constantly and achieved a lot. The sale of 2000 was 125 million RMB and increased to 229 million RMB in 2001 and 349 million RMB in 2002. It strided 3 steps in 3 years and realized the profit of 17.12 million. The sale of above half of 2003 was 220 million and the prospective sale of whole year of 2003 will be 500 million. It is keeping the rapid increasing tendency and is the head of national hydraulic support industries.
    In the past years Zhengzhou Mining Machinery Group Limited Company was award as the Excellent Enterprise of reform and innovation and the Excellent Enterprise of technology advancement of Henan Provincial Coal Industry. It was the 187th enterprise in the Top 500 of China Machinery Industry of 2002.
