珍珠岩是一种含结晶水的酸性硅质火山玻璃熔岩，属火成岩。它的微粒经高温煅烧处理，岩石中的结晶水蒸发，珍珠岩以原体积15-20倍比例急剧膨胀，于是形成富含闭口和开口气孔的膨胀珍珠岩，再经过仔细研磨和风选后，便形成具有特殊性能的GK-110 珍珠岩助滤剂。 GK-110 珍珠岩助滤剂是一种由惰性非晶玻璃粒子组成的白色固体粉末，其主要成分为钾、钠和铝硅酸盐，无任何异味，本身不含有机物。生产过程中，珍珠岩经过高温处理，达到灭菌和消除有机物的效果，因此GK-110 珍珠岩助滤剂在无机酸和有机酸中的溶解度极低，化学稳定性强，不会影响被过滤液体的理化性能及色、香、味。其使用方法和硅藻土完全相同。珍珠岩助滤剂的各个颗粒是非常不规则的曲卷片状，形成滤饼时有80-90%的孔隙率，各颗粒有许多毛细孔相通，因此可以快速过滤，而且能捕捉1微米以下的粒子。
GK-110 珍珠岩助滤剂与硅藻土相比其使用上有以下特点：
1、能够有效去除滤液中的各种杂质，更有利于提高滤液的非生物稳定性；
2、可提高过滤速度以及过滤总量；

Henan Zhongnan Filter Aid Co. , Ltd. , a high-tech enterprise ,is China's current largest-scaled specialized pearlite filter aid producer . It is located in Shangtianti Nonmetal Mining Area, Xinyang, Henan Province ,the largest nonmetal mining area in Asia, where the reserves of high quality pearlite resources are over 300 million tons. The products are exported to Japan, Republic of Korea, Southeast Asia and other countries and regions. A Brief Introduction to the Products:
Pearlite is an acidic, silicious, and volcanic glass fulgurite containing crystal water, falling into the category of igneous rock. With pearlite particles incinerated under high temperature, crystal water in the rocks will evaporate, and pearlite will sharply expand at the rate of 15 to 20 times, form into expanded pearlite full of closed and open blowholes, and then into GK-110 pearlite filter aid of special performance after being carefully ground and winnowed.
GK-110 pearlite filter aid is a white solid powder composed of inert amorphous vitreum particles, whose main components are potassium, sodium, and aluminosilicate without peculiar smell and containing no organic substance in itself. Treatment under high temperature in the process of production can gain effects of sterilization and elimination of organic substance, thus GK-110 pearlite filter aid has a very low solubility and strong chemical stability in organic acid and inorganic acid, will not affect the color, smell and taste of the filtrate, Its usage is completely the same as that of diatomite.
Each particle of the pearlite filter aid is of quite irregular coiled lamina and has a porosity of 80-90% when forming filter cake. Interlinking each other with capillary, the particles can quickly filter and catch any particle of a size of less than 1.0 micron.
In comparison with diatomite, GK-110 pearlite filter aid has the following characteristics:
1. able to effectively remove various impurities in filtrate, more beneficial to improve abiotic stability of filtrate;
2. able to increase filter speed and total filtration;
3. able to save the used amount by 20%.
